Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Emberling app. Using Emberling means you agree to them.

The service

Emberling helps you keep habits at a size you can actually carry, with a companion and a daily paper. It is a wellbeing tool, not a medical service — nothing in Emberling is medical, psychological or professional advice.

Your account

You need an account — email or Sign in with Apple — to sync your data. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 to use Emberling.

Emberling Pro subscriptions

• Emberling Pro is an auto-renewing subscription — $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year — billed through your Apple ID. Prices vary by country where the App Store offers regional pricing.
• Both plans include a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged for the period you chose.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies (request a refund).
• The free tier stays a real product without a subscription: five habits with the full shrink-and-restore mechanic, a letter every morning, the front page of the Morning Post, daily companion chat, your full grid, the Sunday Edition and the monthly Special Issue.
• Wardrobe items are earned with Embers, which are dropped by keeping habits. There is no way to buy Embers with money, and no scene or level is ever sold on its own.

Your content

Your habits, your check-ins and your chats are yours. You give us the limited licence needed to store, process and display them back to you — that is all. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled and deleted.

Fair use

Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse the app or its AI features, and do not use Emberling for unlawful ends. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Emberling reliable, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties, and features may evolve. If we make material changes to these terms we will say so in the app.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Emberling in the twelve months before a claim.
